Former FBI Director James Comey shared a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt and holding a coffee mug promoting the presidential campaign of Joe Biden, prompting much criticism from conservatives on Twitter.
“Vote for your country,” Comey tweeted on Election Day morning in an apparent plea to his followers to vote for the former vice president.

Comey, a vocal supporter of Biden and critic of President Trump in the past, was immediately lambasted on Twitter by conservatives. Some interpreted the post as evidence that the nation’s former “top cop” was not impartial during his time at the FBI overseeing the Russia collusion investigation into the president.
“You were the ‘non biased, apolitical’ FBI Director?” conservative school safety advocate JT Lewis tweeted. “LOL.”
