The Colorado GOP gubernatorial candidate is accused of plagiarizing articles he wrote during a fellowship at the Hasan Family Foundation in 2005 and 2006. McInnis’ articles, titled “Musings on Water,” were submitted as original works, but a Clemson University expert who reviewed the work found portions of it to be identical to an essay written 20 years earlier by Gregory J. Hobbs, who is now a justice on the Colorado Supreme Court. The 150 pages written in 23 installments discuss water policy and contain no forms of attribution.
