Actor and comedian Bob Saget revealed his own experience testing positive with COVID-19 in an interview that aired only days before he was found dead in an Orlando hotel.
Saget spoke about his COVID-19 diagnosis on the podcast A Corporate Time with Tom & Dan on Jan. 5, just four days before his death on Sunday at the age of 65. Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. His exact cause of death remains under investigation.

“It’s very popular, it’s doing very well,” Saget joked of the omicron variant of the coronavirus during the podcast. “It is not good, it does not feel good … I don’t know if I had delta or … I might have had a combo. Maybe at one point, they [delta and omicron] were working together.”
The Full House star didn’t specify exactly when he had COVID-19. He further joked about the virus, likening the variants to stand-up comedians.
“At one point omicron was opening for delta, but omicron got so big that delta’s opening now,” he said.
Saget commented on his experience performing stand-up during the pandemic.

“If it’s half-full, I go, ‘Oh, that’s disappointing,’ then all of a sudden 200 people show up because they decide at the last minute, ‘What the hell, when are we going to see Bob? He might die from COVID, let’s go see him,’” he joked.
