Even brainiac witches struggle to balance work and home life.
On Tuesday, J.K. Rowling sent Harry Potter fans into a tizzy after she published a story about Harry, Ron and Hermione on her website Pottermore.
In the piece, Rowling details the professional and personal lives of the now-adult Potter cast. Not surprisingly, since readers last saw her, the high-achieving Hermione Granger has become Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, all while being a “mother to son, Hugo, and daughter, Rose.”
Rowling then pokes fun at the “can women have it all?” debate that was fueled by Sheryl Sandberg’s book, “Lean In.”
“Does Hermione Granger prove that a witch really can have it all? (No—look at her hair).”
Rowling had been posting updates of the imaginary 2014 Quidditch World Cup to coincide with the non-wizarding World Cup, but Tuesday’s post marks the first time Rowling published a story about the famous trio since the release of the 7th and final installment of the series in 2007. The site promptly crashed from the influx of visitors.
Catch up on Ron, Hermione, and Harry’s latest escapades by reading Rowling’s full story, posted by Today.
