Authorities have arrested a second man in connection with a June 2011 fatal stabbing in Southeast D.C., police said.
Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 30-year-old Eric Jerome Payne Wednesday on a warrant charging him with second-degree murder while armed, according to D.C. police.
On June 19, 2011, police went to the 2600 block of Douglas Road Southeast and found Charles Hicks, 53, with apparent stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In August, Terrance McNeil was arrested on a warrant for second-degree murder while armed in connection with the incident, police said.
