A D.C. police sergeant was sentenced to four years in prison for threatening a woman with a handgun while he was off duty, according to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office.
Christopher Whitehouse, of Beltsville, got into an altercation with a female friend in Cheverly. According to prosecutors, he grabbed her by the throat, pulled out his gun and pointed it at her head, threatening to pull the trigger. He was convicted of second-degree assault.
It wasn’t his first conviction. Whitehouse was arrested after he allegedly pulled a motorist over while he was off-duty and intoxicated, prosecutors said. Whitehouse was accused of pointing a handgun at the motorist and yelling obscenities.
A Montgomery County jury found him guilty of driving while impaired, according to court documents.
