Dave Portnoy denies having violent sex with woman

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy denied allegations by a woman claiming he had violent sex with her.

A 20-year-old woman identified as Madison reportedly messaged Portnoy, 43, on social media during summer 2020, and the two began flirting and discussing sexual fantasies.

Madison reportedly told Portnoy by direct message that she wanted to experience “a rape fantasy, where I don’t have any control of what’s going on.”

“You and I are going to get along so well,” Portnoy replied, eventually buying her a first-class plane ticket to his $2.2 million Nantucket home, Insider reported.

Madison called the trip a “traumatic experience.” When she arrived, she said she was not impressed with Portnoy.

“He was very rude. He wasn’t funny at all. He just reminded me of a boring, grumpy old man,” Madison said.

She first became uncomfortable when Portnoy began video recording her without permission, she alleged. She then reportedly began to perform oral sex on him and said subsequent sexual activity was not enjoyable.

“I never said anything. I was scared. He was just so mean,” she said. “I felt like I was just a human sex doll.”

“It was so painful,” she described. “I kept trying to get away and he was like, ‘Stop running away from me. Stop running away from me.'” Madison said Portnoy did not stop and continued to perform sexual acts nonconsensually on her.

She reportedly slept on Portnoy’s couch for two nights since her flight home wasn’t for two days.

Portnoy responded to the allegations Thursday in a video address to his social media followers.

“Lawyers have been talking to me … listen, I’ve ignored everything they said. I’m gonna do what I always do, I’m just gonna tell the truth,” Portnoy said. “Shoot from the hip and tell exactly how I feel.”

“I’m not surprised this article came out … For eight months, I’ve had every single girl I’ve been remotely associated with, girls I know, girls I’ve hooked up with … being like, ‘Hey, just heads-up, there’s a reporter digging around asking about your sexual habits, asking, ‘Has he done anything dirty with you?'” Portnoy said.

While Portnoy was warned about the article possibly coming out, he remained confident, saying he has “never done anything weird with a girl.”

Based on the woman’s allegation of rough sex and “feeling like a sex doll,” he said he did not know who it was. The detail about the girl sleeping on the couch helped him narrow it down, he said.

“At no point was it not 100% consensual,” Portnoy said. “At no point did she ask me to stop. At no point did either of us think something unseemly happened.”

Portnoy explained that after having sex, he and Madison began disagreeing about several topics, and he said they were “like oil and vinegar,” prompting her to sleep on the couch both nights.

He further said that after she flew home, he never spoke with her again.

Insider said it spoke to another woman who said she had a similar experience with Portnoy but did not wish to publish the details of it. She said that she was choked and recorded without permission during the encounter, according to Insider.
