Will they be gentlemanly at the GQ party?

Hot Ticket

What’s the hottest ticket on the early fall social calendar? That would be GQ magazine’s party next Monday at Café Milano to celebrate its “50 Most Powerful People in D.C.” feature.

“Originally it was a very small event of about 150, but it’s grown into something more,” says a source involved with the planning of the affair. And that includes some list-crashing efforts worthy of White House Correspondents Dinner afterparties.

Among those on the list who are confirmed to attend: NBC’s Tim Russert, Redskins owner Dan Snyder, Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Fla., Simon Rosenberg of the New Democratic Network, Ed Corrigan of the Senate Republican Steering Committee and AARP’s Bill Novelli.

And your host: GQ editor in chief Jim Nelson, a graduate of DeMatha High School in Hyattsville.

The big question: Will we see any of the top five — Condoleezza Rice, Harry Reid, Robert Gates, Justice Anthony Kennedy or Nancy Pelosi?
