CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) — The Delta State University College of Education has changed its name to the College of Education and Human Sciences.

The university said in a news release Tuesday from the Cleveland campus that teacher preparation remains an important function of the college. However, the new name reflects the college’s growth to include a number of diverse programs.

Those include programs in counselor education and psychology; family and consumer sciences; and health, physical education, recreation, and athletic training.
