Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., was alluding to the 1995 Congress when during an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday he said that there may be a government shutdown if the House GOP and Democrats can’t make a deal on spending cuts for government operations for the rest of fiscal year 2011, according to a report from The Hill. A 1995 Congressional battle lead to a shutdown of the federal government.
