4 taken treated for carbon monoxide exposure in Prince George’s home

Four people were taken for treatment after a large amount of carbon monoxide was detected at a residence in Prince George’s County, officials said.

About 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, fire units were called to 12408 Van Brady Road. Personnel at the scene detected carbon monoxide levels of over 500 parts per million, which Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Assistant Chief Ron Bridges called “excessively high.”

A teenager and a young adult were flown to a hyperbaric chamber in Baltimore, Bridges said. An adult male and an adult female were taken to be treated via ground transport.

A generator was being operated in the home, Bridges said.
