Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) seemed extremely amused by a reporter asking whether Dennis Rodman helped free American citizens Kenneth Bae and Matthew Todd Miller from North Korea.
“I’m not sure that Dennis Rodman is well trained to gather intelligence,” he said, laughing.
“I have no idea yet what brought those prisoners back, but I thought it was certainly a bizarre episode,” McCain offered.
Rodman, Kim Jong Un BFF, has claimed that he is responsible for the return of the long-detained Americans.
Earlier this month, Rodman produced a letter he supposedly sent to the North Korean leader, reading “I understand the crimes [Bae] committed, and ask you my dear friend, the highly respected Marshall Kim Jong Un for his release to show my country how loving and compassionate you and the DPRK can be.”
