McLean government contractor Advanced Technology Systems Corp. has completed its purchase of Vienna-based Number Six Software.
ATS paid about $36 million for the purchase, which it announced about a month ago.
Number Six provides application development and information technology consulting to government and commercial clients.
ATS Chief Executive Officer Edward Bersoff said Monday that the acquisition will help ATS broaden its IT services expertise and add customers in a variety of targeted sectors. ATS was originally founded as a federal acquisition company.
ATS expects Number Six to generate about $33 million in revenue this year and to post about 15 percent growth in 2008, a company release said. The company has about 175 employees, who will remain in Vienna.
