RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Homicide detectives are investigating a potential gang-related Southern California shooting on a freeway off-ramp that left one person dead and two others injured.
The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/XHKLOR ) that the shooting occurred at about 6:33 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 15’s El Cerrito Road off-ramp near Corona in Riverside County.
Officials say three men were shot, including one fatally.
The California Highway Patrol says 911 callers reported that two rival motorcycle gangs — the Mongols and Hells Angels — were shooting at each other.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Riverside County Sheriff’s homicide investigators.
