President Trump weighed in on the competitive race for U.S. Senate in Ohio on Tuesday by tweeting his support for Rep. Jim Renacci, R-Ohio, and offering his full endorsement.
“.@JimRenacci has worked so hard on Tax Reductions, Illegal Immigration, the Border and Crime,” the president tweeted. “I need Jim very badly to help our agenda and to keep MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! He will be a fantastic Senator for the Great State of Ohio, and has my full endorsement!”

Renacci will be facing a tough battle in November against Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown but has vowed to support Trump’s agenda, which earned him a roaring endorsement from the president.
The upcoming election is being seen as a test of the president’s lasting influence on a battleground state he won in the 2016 presidential election.
