The man dragged out of a United Airlines flight on Sunday suffered a concussion, broken nose and lost two front teeth and now his lawyer is saying he’ll “probably” sue the company.

Dr. David Dao was released from the hospital on Wednesday after the incident on a Chicago-to-Louisville flight Sunday evening, his attorney said. Dao refused to give up his seat on the plane because he said he had to treat patients Monday morning and Chicago Airport Police dragged him off the flight.
In the process, his head was slammed into an armrest and Dao was bloodied and disoriented in videos after the incident.
Thomas Demetrio, a Chicago attorney, said during a televised press conference Thursday that Dao’s injuries were “more horrifying than what he suffered leaving Vietnam in 1975.”
“He did in fact suffer a significant concussion as a result of disembarking that plane. And, that he had a serious broken nose, injury to the sinuses and he’s going to be undergoing shortly reconstructive surgery in that regard,” Demetrio said.
He added, “Concussions are sort of an iffy condition. I don’t know ultimately hopefully whether there will be any repercussions long term from that but he’s shaken.”
Demetrio added that no lawsuit has been filed yet, but Dao is planning to sue at some point in the future.
