The Republican National Committee is holding a contest to send one winner who donates to President Trump’s re-election campaign to Washington, D.C., for dinner with the president.
People who donate to the Trump Make America Great Again Committee by June 25 have a chance to win a trip to D.C., and tickets to the Trump Victory Dinner on June 28, an approximate value of $3,000. The contest winner will also have a chance to take a photo with the president.

While some on Twitter expressed excitement at the opportunity to have dinner and a photo with Trump, others took the opportunity to express their disgust and some made references to former FBI Director James Comey’s awkward meal.
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE DINNER WITH MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT

Didn’t Comey already win this?

“Win” dinner with Trump: Does this mean I have to eat the meatloaf at Mar-a-Lago? Will dinner talk be recorded or must I make memo?

Are you kidding me? Trolling for donations?? I’m a Republican and I find this OFFENSIVE!

Former President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign held multiple dinner raffles with him for supporters in 2012. In December, a plan to auction off a coffee date with Ivanka Trump to raise money for the Eric Trump Foundation was called off due to ethical concerns about bidders giving vast sums in exchange for one-on-one time with a prominent member of the incoming administration.
