While Rep. Michele Bachmann‘s supporters might not be too pleased about her wide-eyed look on the cover of this week’s Newsweek (the magazine labeled her as the “Queen of Rage”), the internet has found some fun in it.
The website Buzzfeed.com has tried to turn Bachmann’s gaze into a full-blown internet meme, producing the article “Hot Chicks with Michele Bachmann’s Eyes.” Instead of finding women with similar gazes, the author actually photoshopped Bachmann’s eyes from the Newsweek cover shot onto the eyes of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Michelle Obama and Katy Perry. (To be honest, Perry doesn’t look half bad sporting the look).
Back in reality, Bachmann has basically avoided talking about the controversial cover shot. On Tuesday, NBC News reported that Bachmann’s campaign said that the kooky shot of the GOP presidential hopeful was part of a light check and wasn’t among the photos Newsweek had showed to the campaign.
