Actor James Woods took a shot at MSNBC’s Ali Velshi on Monday for mocking MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s efforts to combat the coronavirus by manufacturing and donating surgical masks.

“Trump just called the ‘My Pillow’ guy up to the podium in the Rose Garden,” Velshi said on Twitter as Lindell appeared with President Trump at the White House. “You cannot make this stuff up.”

“Hard for a #FakeNews media gnat to appreciate Americans donating their resources to help others in a time of crisis,” Woods, a prominent conservative voice on Twitter, told his over 2 million followers.

Several media pundits joined Velshi in criticizing Lindell, with some taking issue with his comments urging people to seek comfort in the Bible during these trying times.

“My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell says God put Trump in the White House and tells people to read the Bible while standing behind a presidential seal on government property in a clear violation of the separation of church and state,” Sarah Reese Jones said on Twitter.

Lindell, who announced his company is manufacturing and donating tens of thousands of surgical masks to help combat the spread of the virus, posted his gratitude to Trump for hosting him.

“It was an honor to be part of the coronavirus briefing today at the @WhiteHouse with our great president @realDonaldTrump!” wrote Lindell on Twitter.
