July 20. That’s when the GOP presidential contenders will take to Twitter in a presidential debate. Mashable reported Thursday some of the specifics. Not only will users be able to track the debate via Twitter, there will also be a third-party site aggregating all of the tweets of the candidates, moderators and members of the public who are asking the questions.
“We basically have an online tool that tracks all tweets for a specific account name and hashtag,” said Adam Green, founder and CEO of 140 Dev, LLC which will be creating the debate platform. “It takes all those tweets, aggregates them into a database, separates the ones who are the lead speakers and puts them in one stream, and then puts the others in a separate stream.”
