During tonight’s debate, Mitt Romney reminded Ron Paul that Congress was cutting a trillion dollars out of the defense debate after the failure of the supercommittee.

“They’re not cutting anything out of anything.” Paul scoffed, “All this talk is just talk, believe me.”
Paul reminded Romney that Congress was only “nibbling” at baseline budgeting.
“The people on the Hill are nearly hysterical because the budget isn’t going up as rapidly as they want it to.” Paul added, “It’s a road to disaster and we better wake up.”
Paul’s answer got loud applause from the audience, and it was a remarkable moment in which front-runner Romney took Paul serious enough to debate an issue with him.
