Rumored cast member of “Real Housewives of D.C.” Mary Amons, along with a band of Georgetown’s social set, left VIP guests thirsty at a “Sex and the City 2” premiere party.
Guests who paid $105 for a ticket to the premiere party Wednesday had no choice but to buy drinks from the hotel bar when the liquor ran dry at the 90-minute open bar event at the Haute Suite at the Georgetown Ritz Carlton, an attendee told Yeas & Nays.
Yeas & Nays did not hear back from Fresh Boutique, which organized the event. Amons, whose charity Labels for Love benefitted from the event, said she was not in charge of logistics, did not even attend the reception and feels terrible about what happened. An organizer blamed the debacle on the short order from sponsors Moet & Chandon and Belvedere. Neither responded to requests for comment by press time.
