Fifty percent of respondents in a new poll say Hillary Clinton has provided “false information” to the public about her health, and many more are now worried about her health after her bout with pneumonia and her Sept. 11 medical episode.
The Clinton campaign apologized earlier this week for the way it handled her health scare on Sept. 11, when she was caught stumbling during a ceremony at Ground Zero and abruptly left for her daughter’s apartment.

In the days following that episode, 41 percent of voters in a Morning Consult poll said Clinton’s health is “below average or very poor,” a 15-point increase since last month, when 26 percent of voters questioned her health. The new poll was taken just after the former secretary of state acknowleged she was diagnosed with pneumonia.
Only 22 percent of voters now describe the Democratic presidential hopeful’s health as “above average or excellent,” down 7 percentage points from the same survey in August.
Fewer than 40 percent of voters said Trump has given false information about his health to the public and 36 percent described his health as “above average or excellent.” Two-thirds of voters believe both candidates should be required to release their previous medical records in addition to doctor’s notes they’ve already provided.
The Morning Consult poll of 1,501 registered voters was conducted Sept. 12-13. Results contain a margin of error plus or minus 3 percentage points.
