Looking for a fall frolic in northern Montgomery County? The 2011 Harvest Festival at the Agricultural History Farm Park on Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood will take place Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Of course there will be scarecrow making, a corn maze, and pumpkin fun. But there will also be an archaeology dig, live farm animals, a potato scramble and even chestnut roasting. And don’t forget plenty of food and live music. Admission is $10 per carload, and there might be additional fees charged for certain activities. For information, call 301-258-4030 or go to www.AgHistoryFarm.org.
