House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters Wednesday he is not prepared to endorse Donald Trump, refuting a leak from the Trump campaign earlier in the day.
“I haven’t made a decision,” Ryan told reporters. “Nothing has changed from that perspective and we are still having conversations.”
Ryan said his staff talks to Trump’s campaign on a daily basis.
“We are having good conversations,” Ryan said.
Ryan, R-Wis., said he was not concerned with Trump aides leaking information and said he was focused on running the House, and specifically unveiling the six-part GOP agenda beginning in June.
“I don’t worry about that stuff,” Ryan said of the leaks from the Trump camp. “I’ve been around this a long time and none of that stuff gets to me.”
