CNN host Chris Cuomo announced that his wife tested positive for the coronavirus.
During Wednesday night’s showing of CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time, the network host announced that his wife recently tested positive for the coronavirus as he was interviewing his brother, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
“It’s very rare for a family to be one and done. Cristina now has COVID. She is now positive. And it just breaks my heart. It is the one thing I was hoping wouldn’t happen, and now, it has,” Cuomo said on the air.
On March 31, the CNN host announced he tested positive for COVID-19 in a post on social media. “I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive, and I had fever, chills, and shortness of breath,” Cuomo said then on social media. “I am quarantined in my basement … I will do my shows from here.”
