On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, President Obama revealed that he secretly drove a Chevy Volt owned by a friend.
Obama explained that they “didn’t tell the Secret Service,” but hopped in the electric vehicle and drove around the White House grounds.
“I was really getting into it,” he said.
Obama added that the Secret Service barred him from driving beyond the gate of the White House.
“That was my big joy ride. Three times around the South Lawn driveway,” Obama joked. “It was wild.”
