LANSING, Mich. (AP) — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is asking anglers for help with a study of walleye in northern Michigan.

The DNR, the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians and students from Michigan State University are teaming up on the study. They are tagging adult walleye at key locations across the inland waterway, which consists of a number of rivers and lakes in the northern Lower Peninsula. The goal is to learn more about movements and seasonal distribution of the popular sport fish.
