When Fox Business host Lou Dobbs last night leaned on Trump adviser Stephen Miller to take Sen. Ted Cruz up on an offer to take the president’s fraud case to the U.S. Supreme Court, never-Trump media lit up about a torrid “clash.”
Some spun it as an attack on Miller for not helping the president. The Hill, for example, headlined, “Lou Dobbs goes after Stephen Miller for not doing enough for Trump.”
Social media especially liked it when Dobbs threw out some red meat with his charge, “Why don’t you guys jump and salute Ted Cruz and say, ‘Yes, we want you on the team’ now? My God, this is not a time for internecine nonsense on the part of the Republican Party, which is watching its blood drain into the streets because they’re gutless!”

Ever-calm Miller said, however, that he wasn’t prepared to answer the question for the White House.
But there weren’t sore feelings, though the next discussion didn’t make the Twittersphere.
“I know who you are, and I know what you do. You know me, and you know what I do. My job is to get answers to the questions I ask, especially from a friend,” said Dobbs with a smile.
Said Miller, “I’ll see to it that you get the answer.”
Dobbs: “Fair enough.”
Then, he added, “Stephen, you’re one of the great Americans. No one has worked harder for this president than you. I have got the greatest respect for all you’ve accomplished and will accomplish for this president.”
Miller responded, “And I will to my last breath, Lou.”
Dobbs then ripped an “absent” Justice Department, Attorney General William Barr, and Justice’s elections crime unit for looking past the president’s fraud claims.
He concluded, “I want to say thanks to Sen. Ted Cruz for stepping up, one of the few, and Stephen Miller, who is in the war every day, in every way.”
