Come this Saturday, when many a person will be in D.C. for the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, keep an eye out for a dragon among the crowds. Actually, it should be quite easy to spot: It’ll be big, moving, awesome and possibly fire-breathing. (I don’t know what type of permits they have, or don’t have, for fire.) The dragon is Abraxas, a rather well-known mutant vehicle in the crowd of folks who are known as Burners.

Abraxas and his people may well not be your scene. NP, as those younger than me often like to text. But if it is your scene, take a look at the group’s website and see if connecting with the vehicle at the rally is something you’d want to do. Equally important — and more timely — if you’re the hammer-wielding type, your skills and abilities are in need! Between today and Friday, a crew of volunteers will be assembling Abraxas to prepare him (it?) for the rally. And, not too surprisingly, a crew to dismantle the dragon vehicle will be needed on Sunday. Options abound.
