This White House proposal will have you saying ‘Aww’

Lucas Thompson and his girlfriend Katie Brown have been together for four years. They are high school sweethearts. When Lucas decided it was time to propose, it was natural that he wanted to do it in a way that was special for the two of them.

On Valentine’s Day, Lucas and Katie took a tour of the White House and that’s when it happened: Lucas asked Katie to be his wife.

“I decided it was time and that I wanted to ask her to marry me. I didn’t know how, where or when. The White House came to mind since it was unique and I felt like it would be extremely special to not only her, but to me as well,” Thompson told Red Alert Politics.

“Thankfully we were approved to go on Valentine’s Day. I knew people in the administration and I also reached out to my Congressman for help. They helped make it possible and for that I’m extremely grateful.”

The happy couple is thrilled to have made their mark in the people’s house.

“[H]aving it happen at the White House is a moment that will forever be remembered and cherished and in a way we made our own piece of history,” said Thompson.

Congratulations to Lucas and Katie, from Red Alert Politics!
