A fire in Prince George’s County that injured seven firefighters has been ruled an arson, officials announced Wednesday.
The house fire occurred Friday night at 6404 57th Ave. in Riverdale, officials said. While firefighters were attacking the fire, a sudden rush of air entered, creating a “fireball” that engulfed the firefighters, according to the Prince George’s County fire officials.

Police said the fire was similar to one next door on a previous date. That fire is also being investigated as arson.
Seven firefighters were injured, four of whom were treated and released overnight Friday, according to the Prince George’s Fire Department.
Damages to the house are estimated at $75,000, officials said.
