Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence touted three national polls during his rally in Exeter, N.H., on Friday evening, as proof that Donald Trump has sufficient support to win on Election Day, despite what the media says.
The Indiana governor cited a new national Rasmussen survey, which shows Trump ahead of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by 2 points. Pence did not go into detail about the other two polls.
“Donald Trump is leading across the United States of America in this contest for president. Three national polls,” Pence said. “And that’s despite the fact that, you know, it’s like the monolithic opposition of the national press.”
The running mate urged supporters to ensure his ticket wins on Nov. 8 by holding polling stations accountable.
“Voter fraud is real,” Pence said. “If you haven’t volunteered to help in the next 18 days, go volunteer to help, but if you haven’t volunteered to work on Election Day, and provide that kind of respectful accountability that our state governed elections operate, I encourage you to do it. I truly do.”
