Named the Colonial Athletic Association?s Player of the Week for the last week in March, Berger has put together a very strong junior campaign for the No. 16 Dukes.
The kinesiology major leads the team in goals, assists and points this year. Her 45 goals and 28 assists pace the 12-4 Dukes.
JMU was named the top seed in the CAA tournament, and will host the event, set for Friday and Sunday in Harrisonburg, Va.
As a sophomore, she scored 41 goals with 16 assists for 57 points, after a 36-goal freshman season. She was named the Dukes? co-MVP and was named to the All-CAA first team in her sophomore campaign.
While at Hammond, Berger was a member of the basketball and soccer teams, and also performed with the Hammond Dance Company.
Berger?s brother, Stephen, was a three-time All-American at Washington College in Chestertown.
