The Four Seasons was abuzz with Italians Tuesday. With Italian President Giorgio Napolitano in town to visit President Bush, the restaurant was sprinkled with Italian businessman, diplomats and security, all in town for the occasion … and no doubt complaining about the substandard espresso in the United States.
A few “formers” began their day at the Four Seasons Tuesday: Former Congressman Tony Coelho and former Bill Clinton adviser Don Baer (who recently became chairman of Penn, Schoen and Berland and vice chairman of Burson-Marsteller). Judith Feder, professor and dean of Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute, also got her morning started at the hotel. She’s trying to make a “former” out of Rep. Frank Wolf as she again challenges him for Virginia’s 10th congressional district seat.
Former “Hardball” Executive Producer Tammy Haddad, who recently left MSNBC to start Haddad Media, grabbed breakfast with Atlantic Media CEO John Fox Sullivan (Atlantic Media’s National Journal is one of Haddad’s clients).
Last was Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric — all 6 feet and 7 inches of him. The Timberwolves were in town to play the Washington Wizards last night. Much to the chagrin of every male in the room, Jaric did not bring his girlfriend — Victoria’s Secret model Adrianna Lima — along for breakfast.
