Ted Nugent: Veterans committing suicide because Obama ‘is the enemy’

Hmmm.

Conservative rock musician Ted Nugent has a curiously simple explanation for veteran suicides in the United States.

During a speech at the Lincoln Day Dinner of the Republican Party of Maricopa County in Arizona last weekend, Nugent blamed the self-inflicted deaths of our military heroes on President Obama.

“Here’s your job, Republican party,” declared Nugent. “Twenty to 25 of those guys are killing themselves everyday. And they haven’t told you why, and they haven’t told anybody else why, but they told me why. Because the commander-in-chief is the enemy.”

Nugent was of course citing the oft-questioned statistic from a Washington Post & Kaiser Family Foundation poll that says 22 veterans commit suicide each day.

The rockstar also labeled our veterans “the best humans that will walk this earth.”

Nugent has never shied away from expressing his dissatisfaction with Obama. In fact, the rocker was forced to apologize after calling the president a “subhuman mongrel” last year.

“I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America,” Nugent said in an interview.

Unsurprisingly, many individuals — including prominent voices in the Republican party — spoke out against his statements then.

One can imagine he will receive more backlash for these most recent statements.
