Kristol: Hillary Flopped In Response to Terror Attacks

Bill Kristol joined CNN’s Jake Tapper Monday to discuss how Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton handled responding to the attacks in New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota during the weekend.

“I’m old enough to remember when presidential candidates, if there have been three terror attacks on the soil of the U.S., a policeman shot, and a lot of other things happening, suspend the attacks on each other for 24 hours, and try to, say, pay respect to our law enforcement and other officials,” Kristol remarked.

With regard to the back and forth between the two campaigns today over Clinton’s comment that Trump’s rhetoric gives “aid and comfort to our adversaries,” Kristol argued she would have been better served by giving a serious foreign policy speech and scrapping mentions of Trump. That, he argued, is her “strong card.”

“And she gives it away when she gets into a back and forth like this with Trump, I think.”
