Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush outperformed expectations Tuesday evening in the New Hampshire GOP primary, but Fox News gave him less than a minute before cutting away to billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who easily won the Granite State with more than the 34 percent of the Republican vote.
On the opposite side of the aisle, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., clobbered Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire by more than 77,300 votes to her 48,000, according to the Ace of Spades Decision Desk.
Fox dedicated airtime to Sanders’ lengthy and verbose victory speech, as the Vermont lawmaker promised over and over again to make healthcare and education free for all Americans.
Shortly after Sanders’ speech, Bush took to his lectern to offer his fourth-place concession speech. The former Florida governor got exactly 48 seconds from Fox before the cameras cut away to focus on Trump’s victory speech, which was scheduled at around the same time.
Trump promised his triumphant supporters that he’d make America great again, and promised to make so many great deals.
Fox News’ cameras never went back to Jeb Bush.
Earlier, during the Iowa caucuses, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., scored a healthy amount of media attention from the major networks and cable news, including Fox, with a triumphant third-place concession speech.
