The board charged with certifying financial planners across the country will relocate its headquarters from Denver to D.C. this year. “We really want to be where the movers and shakers are,” said Bob Glovski, a member of the board of directors for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The board wants the organization to become more active in policy debates regarding the financial decisions of consumers. The organization was in Denver for more than 20 years. It certifies more than 54,000 financial planners per year. The organization employs about 40 people and plans to expand after its move, Glovski said.
