He may have turned in his official White House badge but Kalpen Modi, otherwise known as the actor Kal Penn, hasn’t given up D.C. nightlife. We spotted Modi out Tuesday night with a gang of friends at the brand new 14th street bar Black Jack. Modi was sporting a Navy blue baseball cap and looked a little unshaven. He was sitting with a handful of guys and girls in a big booth near the bathrooms. Now that he’s given up his full-time Obama Administration gig, Modi’s back to simply volunteering for the campaign, taking more grad school classes and working on a television show set at the United Nations.
