A delegation composed of five Virginia government officials and private representatives are in Beijing on a trade mission organized by the Southern Governors’ Association.
“While Virginia is known as a great place to do business, in these tough economic times we must look for every opportunity to attract and retain job creating employers,” said Gov. Bob McDonnell. “We are aggressively working to increase opportunities for trade between Virginia and foreign nations, and attract foreign businesses to Virginia, ultimately leading to new jobs and more opportunities for our citizens.”
The delegation includes 39 representatives from nine states and territories that represent the American south.
