The last time “Top Chef’s” Dale Talde was told to pack up his knives it included an invitation to Washington. Talde got kicked off “Top Chef: All Stars” Wednesday night, where local chefs Carla Hall and Mike Isabella remain, but he recounted to Washingtonian magazine what happened the last time around. It was D.C.’s own Chef Jose Andres who did the dirty deed. “When he kicked me off [in Season 4], he invited me to go,” Talde said.
“I’m dying to get down to D.C.,” Talde said. “I will, and I still mean to go to Spike’s places, I need to hit up Mikey’s place when he opens up.” Spike Mendelsohn, who exited “Top Chef: All Stars” earlier in the season, owns the Good Stuff Eatery and We The Pizza on Capitol Hill. Mike “Mikey” Isabella is opening up a Penn Quarter eatery called Graffiato this spring.
Talde was eliminated Wednesday night for serving undercooked potatoes at a dinner for the Greater New Orleans Foundation. “Top Chef” airs at 10 p.m. Wednesday nights on Bravo.
