Ebola patient getting better

An American healthcare worker’s condition continues to improve, as the National Institutes of Health upgraded the worker to fair condition.

Last week, NIH upgraded the patient’s condition from critical to serious. The unidentified healthcare worker is being treated at NIH’s Bethesda, Md., facility.

The worker was believed to have contracted the disease while doing volunteer work for the aid group Partners in Health in Sierra Leone.

There are 15 healthcare workers who are still being monitored for the disease after coming into contact with the Bethesda patient. So far none of the unidentified people have tested positive for the disease.
