Financial counselor honored in Prince William County

With all the turmoil rumbling though the Gulf Coast and overseas (not to mention the economy), sometimes it’s nice to hear some good news.

Janice Fields, a financial counselor and volunteer with the Virginia Cooperative Extension, has been named Prince William County’s volunteer of the quarter.

Fields helped a couple in their 70s save their home by working with them for over three months, helping them get a grant to keep their mortgage currrent. She’s continuing her work with the couple to help them pay off debts and manage expenses.
