Piers Morgan storms off Good Morning Britain set after criticism over Meghan Markle comments: ‘Done with this’

British broadcaster Piers Morgan stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain after receiving pushback over his criticisms of Meghan Markle.

“I think that we need to all take a step back. And I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program, a number of times, and I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one, and she cut you off,” Alex Beresford said to Morgan on Tuesday.

“She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, but yet you continue to trash her,” Beresford added.

“OK, I’m done with this,” Morgan said, storming off.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN CLAIM THERE WERE ‘CONCERNS’ WITHIN ROYAL FAMILY ABOUT SON ARCHIE’S SKIN COLOR

Beresford called his behavior “diabolical.”

He eventually returned to the set.

Morgan has been critical of Meghan, Prince Harry’s wife, especially after her sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired Sunday evening.

She revealed during the interview that she contemplated suicide while serving as a working royal, and she claimed that Buckingham Palace had “concerns” about how dark her son’s skin would be.

Morgan cast doubt on her statements this week, saying, “I don’t believe a word she says.”

“I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report,” he added.

The comments led to British broadcasting regulator Ofcom launching an investigation under its “harm and offense” rules.

It was announced on Tuesday that Morgan was parting ways with Good Morning Britain.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain,” the company said in a Tuesday statement. “ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
