The affected area was identified as 18th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, with Secret Service units closing roads leading to the White House.

The item in question was later deemed “non-hazardous,” though D.C. Emergency Medical Service officials were continuing to investigate as of Sunday night, according to Guglielmi.
