WATCH: Kat Cammack calls Biden ‘trafficker in chief’ amid fentanyl epidemic

Freshman Rep. Kat Cammack took to the House floor Wednesday to accuse the Left of ignoring the opioid epidemic.

While her Democratic counterparts fight to pass policies on voting rights and climate change, Cammack voted to progress the HALT Fentanyl Act.

Cammack said she visited the southwest border three times last year and witnessed massive fentanyl busts.

The Florida congresswoman added that anyone could have “seen firsthand the drugs that are free-flowing on our southwest border courtesy of trafficker-in-chief Biden that are coming into our communities.”

“The leading cause of death for Americans 18-45 is fentanyl,” Cammack wrote on social media. “It’s not climate change. It’s not COVID. It’s fentanyl.”

“Every single American is affected by this drug, pouring across our border and into our communities, courtesy of this administration’s policies,” Cammack continued. “It’s happening here in #FL03 and it’s happening in communities across the U.S.”

Reps. Tom Emmer and Tony Gonzalez agreed on Twitter. Both noted the uptick in fentanyl use in their districts as well.

“We have got to stop this drug, stop the overdoses, stop the drug trafficking, stop the deaths of our youngest generations,” Cammack wrote.

The House ultimately blocked consideration of the bill.
