You heard it here first in May: Eliot Spitzer would move to CNN to host a “Crossfire”-type show — a format detested by CNN U.S. President Jon Klein.
Now it’s official. CNN released a statement saying Spitzer will join the network this fall to co-host a roundtable discussion show with columnist Kathleen Parker during the 8 p.m. hour currently filled by Campbell Brown.
Last month, when Yeas & Nays called the former governor of New York to ask him about the potential move before Brown announced her resignation, he said, “Nope, nope.”
“I’ve been there once or twice — twice, maybe,” Spitzer said then.
Spitzer did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday.
