The first happened Sept. 9, when an 89-year-old man’s wallet was stolen while he was in a medical office building’s elevator in Olney, police said. Then, on Oct. 20, an 87-year-old woman’s wallet was taken while she was grocery shopping in Silver Spring.</span></p> <p><span class=”BodyCopy”>In both cases, the stolen cards were used at gas stations and automated teller machines near the Wheaton Plaza and to try to buy Target gift cards at the store at 11160 Veirs Mill Road, police said.</span></p> <p><span class=”BodyCopy”>The suspects are described as black men, 40 to 55 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall and 200 to 250 pounds.</span></p> <p><span style=”font-style:italic;” class=”EndEmailTag”>- Emily Babay</span></p>
