Montgomery County’s two dozen liquor stores will be open on Sundays beginning Nov. 21.
Gus Montes de Oca, of the Department of Liquor Control, tells The Washington Examiner that county officials wanted to implement the plan before the expected Thanksgiving liquor rush.
As The Examiner first reported, County Executive Ike Leggett issued an executive order to roll out a six-month trial for selling booze on Sundays.
Montgomery residents can buy liquor only at the 24 county-operated stores.
